Wild Thistle Campervan Hire, Scotland are in South Lanarkshire, less than 10 mins from the M74 Motorway running up from England, past the beautiful Lake District, and Carlisle with Hadrian’s Wall, and onto Glasgow with its links north and west to the Highlands and Islands. We are ideally placed for rentals from GLASGOW or EDINBURGH, the whole Central Belt, and the airports, and can arrange pick up (for an additional fee), please ask. If you are driving up, you can store your car safely with us during your holiday, for no extra charge. Alternatively we will arrange to pick you up from one of 3 train stations nearby: Hamilton, East Kilbride or Larkhall, at no extra charge.
HOW TO FIND WILD THISTLE CAMPERVAN HIRE, SCOTLAND

From the south, if you’re coming up the M74, into Scotland, exit at Junction number 8, the A71, signposted Edinburgh and Kilmarnock. At the end of the slip road, take the 2nd exit signed Stonehouse and Kilmarnock and keep following the A71 until you come into Strathaven.
From the north, Glasgow or Edinburgh, via M8 or M74 Motorways, take the Hamilton exit and follow signs through Hamilton for Strathaven A723. You will go through many roundabouts but keep straight on, climbing up and continuing on for Strathaven, about 5/6 miles away. The road, with many bends, (Scotland has lots of these you will enjoy on your travels,) will eventually bring you into Strathaven.
The town of Strathaven is lovely, with several good restaurants and Fast Food outlets if you need a meal before setting off. We also have a Sainsbury’s, and Aldi supermarkets for you to stock up on supplies for your adventure. The nearest large towns of East Kilbride or Hamilton will be able to supply almost all of your additional shopping needs.
Multi-story car parks have limited headroom. So please ensure Huxley fits, he’s 2.2m high with the roof down!
